In December of 2024 I attempted to update my ZSE42 V1 700 leak sensor firm wear from 1.40 to 1.50. I don’t remember the exact details (timeouts during updating and multiple resets to factory attempts?) but each attempt failed. Now I have a what I think is bricked device. Does anyone have any ideas on how to revive this sensor or should I just trash it?

Hi there! Can you please let us know if you get an LED response when you attempt to [wake the sensor](https://www.support.getzooz.com/kb/article/1397-zse42-water-leak-sensor-manual-wake-up-process/)? Have you also confirmed the voltage on the battery currently installed, or tried a fresh (non-Duracell) battery?

I have a brand-new Energizer battery installed. Pressing the z-wave button 4 times does wake the sensor (one blink from the light). The ZSE42 is not a part of my SmartThings network but I have successfully factory reset it anyway. Every attempt to include it on my SmartThings hub or my Zooz ZST10 has failed.
