I’ve created a new quick app and am about ready to share it with the outside world. My original intention is to publish via GitHub so there is versioning and it can be improved, etc. I really think I prefer this approach.
However there is also the Fibaro/Nice marketplace. I’m a little unclear how I keep things updated over there and practice version control, and it just seems a little unfriendly. Also I’d publish mine as open source and it would compete with someone who has a similar but less capable quick app who is charging for it
Anyway - for those of us with the z-box, just curious if having to go to GitHub to download the quick app (I’d have it both in .fqa format and raw lua code) is a turn-off at all. Do I really need to (or should I) put this on the Nice marketplace as well?
Thanks all.

Personally, I’d prefer the github approach and publish the link here–one to the .fqa file for (probably) most users and the other to the source, for those who are more technical and may want to put their spin on it.
The Z-Box category would be a great place to put it, using the tag ‘quickapps’ for that purpose–which I just added to this post.
My impression, as well. It certainly is more Euro-centric, product wise (just look up some of the supported manufacturers) and there seem to be multiple versions of things. Look at support for blinds or solar controllers, for example. @Brors94 is also active over there (as well as here on the Zooz forum) and may have some valuable thoughts, as well…
The marketplace isnt friendly at all
But I understand Nice/Fibaro also do control all quickapps for security before acepting them on the marketplace.
But I recommend to look into this topic:
https://forum.fibaro.com/topic/80052-qa-dist-manager/
Jgab on the fibaro forum have made a QA to auto load new version and Quickapps from github.
I use this for my quickapps with this variables:
