What are the remote switches for?

I’m a new Z-Box Hub user, adding Zooz switches and sensors.
When I add a new dimmer switch, I also get a remote version of the same switch.
Here I have a two way switch, with the second switch being a virtual switch associated to to load connected switch. Everything works fine.

My question is, what are the remote devices used for?
Do I need them?
Should I delete them?
So far, they just seem to make my device list longer.

Dont delete  But you could hide them
(can be used in scenes to trigger on inputs)

Thanks for the reply.
I’ll hide, but not delete switch remotes - but I still don’t understand them.
If you go to advanced, it lets you configure 3 buttons on the remote switch.
Is there some physical device you can buy, and associate with the switch as the remote?
I don’t see anywhere in scenes where you can reference switch remote devices.

I dont have experience with the zen72.

But with fibaro dimmer2 we have 2x inputs (s1 and s2) that we can use that remote to trigger scene events on

That remote device is what you can use when setting up scenes as a trigger to do things. Something like: when you tap the On/Up paddle 2 times, do X, Y, and Z other things. Here’s an example:

You can hide those remote devices. I don’t think you can usefully interact with them in the UI.
