Can someone tell me if I can use the zen17 to detect an ir beam sensor? The ir beam delivers closed open on 2 wires. Previously I have used an Ecolink zwave contect sensor
If not, can anyone suggest something?
Thanks

At our house we have a ZEN17 monitoring a current-sensing relay that indicates our sump pump in the basement is running. The two inputs on the ZEN17 can be configured independently of the relay outputs (which at our house are targeted to switch some low voltage outdoor lighting next spring), so that the input can be independent of the relays. It works just fine for that purpose.
No reason to think a dry contact on an IR Beam Sensor wouldn’t be just fine in this application. Perhaps @Sara or one of the others in Zooz Support could confirm?
I also got confirmation in the hubitat forum, ordered it, arriving today
Yes, the ZEN17 should work just fine for you here! The ZEN17 has 2 Dry Contact or 12-24 V inputs to monitor HVAC systems, magnetic door sensors, or analog leak alarms (using either dry contact or 12-24 V input). You can also separate the inputs from the outputs if you have a separate device you would like to control on the relay output side, just like @Barkis mentioned
Can someone tell me which ports to put power, and which to put the 2 wires coming from my IR beam?

Hi there! Please reach out to our support team directly with a link to the pdf/specs for the IR beam and our technicians will be happy to assist!
