Halloween Automation with Z-Box, ZSE70, ZSE50, ZEN58 and a strobe

My latest video is about a Halloween automation I’m going to put up for the trick or treaters coming to my door this year. (Adding to my existing decor for one of my favorite holidays).

It was my first serious foray into Lua on the Z-Box. It features a randomization feature to randomly select from one of four spooky sounds each time motion is tripped. Uses the outdoor motion sensor, a relay and the Siren/Chime. I also included a plug for this forum in the video to illustrate the value of this group (!) as well as a reference to the new way @Barkis showed us to manage sound files on the ZSE50. (Thank you!)

@getoffmylawn Another great video! Congrats!

@Barkis @getoffmylawn We are currently working on new firmware for the ZSE50 Siren to fix the tone file ordering issue. Each tone file will now have an addressable location, so adding or removing files will no longer affect the order of the existing tones. This means your scenes will remain consistent and will no longer get mixed up once you load new files.

Example below showing that the first 8 spoken files were removed, and 3 new files were loaded:
