ZEN32 700 Series Scene Controller Firmware 10.50 Release Notes

VER. 10.50 (released 7/2025 as OTA)

Firmware: 10.50

  • Added Parameter 27 to allow disabling the LED indicator flash when scene buttons are pressed. See all settings here.
  • Removed the delay in turning on connected lights via the physical switch (relay button) when Central Scene Control is disabled for the relay button.
  • Bug fix: Rapidly pressing the relay button 5 times no longer cycles through values in Parameter 19.

We don’t recommend updating your device unless you’re missing any of the functionality listed in the changelog and the update is absolutely necessary. Before you attempt an update on your device, please read this first:

  • Remember to unzip the file after downloading it before using it to update your device. 500 series device files will use the .otz or .hex format while 700/800 series device files will use the .gbl format.
  • Always double-check that you’re applying the correct firmware file to the right model and version of your Zooz device. Loading the wrong version to your device may deem it unusable.
  • You may need to exclude and re-include the device after the update is complete for best performance. Please consider you may need to rebuild all of your automations and settings for the device.

Thanks, @BartekZooz for making this release generally available–the addition of Parameter 27 was a definite win for me!

Nice to have that parameter added to the older hardware, thanks! Disabling the LED indicator flash has the benefit of making the device more responsive to pressing multiple buttons in sequence. With the flash before it seemed I always had to wait for the flash to finish before I could press another button or else they’d be ignored or override the previous button. This is a really nice upgrade in performance.
