Hi, plugged in a new ZSE11 (800LR) sensor in the hallway last week and it is not reading the light output correctly which in turn is messing up the automation.
The sensor always displays 0 lux, even when two 10W lights each in the immediate vicinity are turned on. Even during daytime, with enough light through the window, the sensor continues to display 0 lux.
Today I unplugged one of my outside sensors and mounted it next to this indoor sensor. The outdoor (ZSE70 800LR) displays the light reading 15 and 45 lux.
Also reset it and added it again to the Samsung Smart things hub, same issue. No issues with other sensors (motion, temp, humidity). Battery is at 100%.
I can upload pics of the settings and display. If there is a FW update, Pl. suggest how to get it done.
I’m haven’t used SmartThings in many years, but it may be helpful to upload pics of your device settings.
I recently installed a zse11 on my Hubitat exclusively for tracking & reporting lux (I’m not even using any of its other capabilities), and it’s working really well, so unless there’s a hardware issue, there’s hope!
We’re happy to assist via the community, but for the most expedient support we recommend reaching out to our team directly, as we respond 7 days a week there.
Can you please provide screenshots of the following in the SmartThings app?
Device Detail screen: click on the device tile, this screen should have the firmware version displayed
Driver Detail screen: click on the device tile > click the 3 dots in top corner > select Driver
Full list of the settings and how they are programmed: click on the device tile in your app and tap the 3 dots in the top right corner of the app, then tap Settings.
Thank you for those details, and I apologize for the delay in response. For the quickest response, please feel free to reach out directly to our team.
Can you try adjusting the light reporting threshold to value 1, then manually waking the sensor to verify if the values begin updating?
