I have been having trouble with one of my ZSE41 open close sensors not reporting the correct status to my SmartThings hub. I sometimes have to open then close the door twice for the routine to run that turns the lights on in my garage. Or, there is a long delay before the lights turn on after opening the door. Sometimes the sensor will go all day working fine.
I am not having any other issues with my Z Wave devices, so I have not yet run a Z-Wave network repair. Might that help?
Does the sensor flash anytime the door is opened or closed? This will tell us whether it’s detecting the change and the hub is not receiving the report or whether this is a hardware issue with the sensor not detecting the changes in status.
Yes the light on the sensor does flash when the door is opened or closed.

This confirms the sensor is responding properly to the position of the magnet, so you’d want to look into range/connectivity/interference issues.
