Best Smart Thermostat for Z-Wave setup – Which One Should I Buy? Need Your Advice

I researched the best smart thermostat for Z-Wave setup to find the perfect option for home automation, energy efficiency and everyday use. After reading expert reviews from trusted sources like the New York Times, CNET and The Verge, two models consistently stand out as top recommendations:

However, I am having trouble deciding which one would better suit my needs. I care about compatibility with Z-Wave, ease of installation, reliability and energy efficiency. Integration with other smart home devices and advanced automation features would be a bonus too.

I have two Honeywell T6 Pro Z-Wave thermostats in my home, and they’ve been incredibly dependable for a couple of years now. They’re integrated with Home Assistant, and I like the fact that there is no dependence on any remote services. My goals are to run these completely locally in my home, and to manage everything from Home Assistant, and for those goals they function extremely well. However, that leaves me unable to address advanced features. But they manage my A/Cs in Texas summers and my heat pumps in the winter comfortably and without any issues.
